AT&T has confirmed that they will be bringing the mobile hotspot feature to the iPhone 4 on March 11th, with the release of iOS 4.3. Pricing will remain the same as current tethering plans, which require the $25 Data Pro plan (2GB per month), plus the $20 tethering option (which includes another 2GB per month). Of course, users who have jailbroken their device can always use the much cheaper MyWi alternative ($19.99), which was recently updated with “OnDemand” tethering.
It seems that a little carrier competition can go a long way.
