iPhone users rejoice! The CDMA Verizon iPhone 4 has been flashed to work on the shady pay-as-you-go Cricket network. Interested users can jailbreak their device and bring it to an “authorized” Cricket dealer to flash and download the new prl (preferred roaming list) to free it from Verizon.
While Cricket is a seemingly large step down from Verizon, the fact that the devices can be used on other CDMA networks is the important bit to take away from this. Sprint is the last major US carrier that has yet to get the iPhone (either officially or not), but if the Dev-Team or manages to unlock the device, they could finally break down the last wall.
